Central bank reports on volume of deposits in Ukrainian banks

December 12, 2017 (UNIAN) The volume of national currency deposits in Ukrainian banks in November grew by 0.3%, to UAH 450.971 billion, while foreign currency deposits (in dollar equivalent) fell by 0.7%, to $13.594 billion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) website.

 Since the beginning of the year, the volume of national currency deposits has increased by 5.9%, while foreign currency deposits were also up 2.1%, it said. The balance of hryvna loans in November crawled up 0.7% whereas they have increased by 9.6% since the beginning of the year, to UAH 551.979 billion, the regulator said. 

The balances of currency loans in dollars equivalent decreased in 1.5% in November; however they have shrink by 11.1% since the beginning of the year, to $16.145 billion. 

As UNIAN reported earlier, the volume of national currency deposits in Ukrainian banks in 2016 rose by 8.7%, while foreign currency deposits dropped by 0.4%.

The balances of currency loans in dollar equivalent decreased by 1.5% in November; however, they have shrunk by 11.1% since the beginning of the year, to $16.145 billion.
