Company KrAZ from Poltava region unveils new 4x4 armoured vehicle Hulk

The new Hulk 4x4 armored vehicle will join the family of combat vehicles Hurricane, Shrek and Fiona manufactured by KrAZ. The new Hulk armored vehicle is based on the KrAZ-5233 off-road truck chassis. The difference between Hulk and Shrek is in absence of frame. The Hulk APC features a monocoque-type armored design for the crew compartment. The gross vehicle weight has been reduced to 16 tonnes (from 18 tonnes of Shrek). The Hulk has a new design to improve ergonomics and performance. The Hulk uses V-shaped hull technology to deflect upward directed blast. The vehicle provides a ballistic protection STANAG 4569 level 2 with armor plates designed to stop penetration of bullet emitted from any shooting angle. Moreover, bullet penetration after ricochet has been minimized.

 The new Hulk 4x4 armored personnel carrier designed and manufactured by the Ukrainian Company KrAZ located in Kremenchug (Poltava region).

The Hulk has a mine protection STANAG 4569 level 2a and 2b, landmine explosion (6 kg of TNT) under any wheel or bottom. All the glasses are laminated, bulletproof, inner layer is made of double polycarbonate. The Hulk is motorized with a turbocharged engine developing 310 hp. The vehicle can run at maximum road speed of 90 km/h. The engine ensures high performance at extreme temperatures ranging from - 45 to + 450C. The engine is coupled to a manual 9-speed transmission. The Hulk can carried a total of 12 military personnel including driver and commander.

The KrAZ-Hulk is multipurpose armored off road MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle used for carrying personnel, various cargoes and equipment over all kinds of roads and off roads and fire support. It is provided with advanced weapons and active and passive protective measures.
