I would like to draw your
attention to the one of Viktor Babenko’s works that involved
the big interest of visitors of an exhibition.
This painting was created by the master after studying the history of the
Poltava fortress. Some information about the fortress, its fortifications and
bastions I found in the diary written by Swedish fenrik Robert Petre and passed
on to the artist.
I sincere believe that in the future this painting by Viktor Babenko will enrich
the collection of the museum of the Battle of Poltava.
